DeDae dances for the Earth. “The Earth is a YOU.” Everything that receives attention will grow, and so DeDae places the Earth at the center. DeDae dances the connection with the Earth: the seasons, the weather, the soil, the earthworm, the life and growth forces, and also shows the disruption and exploitation of the profit model. This is our message: our precious Earth calls for attention, for human and creative responsibility.

DeDae stands for Dutch Eurythmy Dance Ensemble. We are a group of young, talented eurythmy dancers, led in daily management by Gia van den Akker. We are guided by the rhythm of today and tomorrow, working with current themes, creating productions, and developing workshops for different target groups.
In the coming period, we will visit farmyards with our performance and workshop “Earth Dance,” dancing with the visitors and the farmers, making our respect and love for the Earth felt through dance.

Dance, text, music, singing, and images merge: texts from “Fragile Earth” by A. Krog, an excerpt from the prologue “Something with Farmers,” Peter Dictus / Bureau Pees, a speech by Roos Saat for Rabobank; music by Vivaldi/Richter, Agnes Obel, and Nynke Laverman, arranged by Annie Tangberg.

Duration: 40 minutes.
